Happy Holidays!

 We made it! It is hard to believe that 2022 is winding down and our kindergarten crew is 4 months into school. The progress both academically and socially is ENORMOUS! It will be so fun watching them move forward as the school year continues!   

A day in the life of kindergarten is every emotion under the sun packed into 6 hours and I couldn't imagine teaching any other grade!  I love each and every child in this class and feel so protective of their well being. I admire all of you as parents as I see daily the love and positive intentions you have for your child.

Unfortunately, I had to leave school early yesterday with a nasty bout of laryngitis.  I sent home a couple projects that the kids have worked on as well as a couple of gifts.  Please have your child share the "Over the River" storyboard.  It is so adorable!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

      Fall 2022  Hello Students and Families!      It is finally time for kindergarten!!  🎉 I am so excited to get to know all of you and hear about your summer adventures. My favorite activity I did with my family was visit lots of different beaches and take hikes with our dogs.  My two kids are also getting ready for school.  My son Matthew is 18 years old and will be heading off to Bates College in the fall….I haven’t quite wrapped my head around that yet!  Emma is 14 years old and is heading into 9 th grade.   Mr. Fox is also getting ready for school, he is a middle school teacher in Falmouth! To my students, I have been spending a lot of time getting our classroom ready.  We will spend plenty of time getting to know each other, our classroom and Village School. Our first study will be the beautiful monarch butterfly!  It will be fun to learn about the life cycle of a butterfly. Best Week Ever!

  We started the week with a trip to the bakery and we ended the week with field day! I couldn't have asked for a better behaved group of kindergarteners!  We were lucky to have Officer Gagnon walk with us to Sullivan House Bakery. For snack, we were all treated with a delicious chocolate chip cookie. The kids had a BLAST at field day on Friday! We are so lucky to have access to the USM Field House. There were 2 huge bounce house obstacle courses, relay games, free play and it isn't a field day without the colorful parachute! It may have been hot but the kids were troopers!
